Heatherton Christian College is served by a volunteer Board. Each member brings expertise, passion and vision to the leadership of the College at the highest level. Each board member is a current or past parent of children at Heatherton Christian College.

Shane Austin

Master of Business and Law

Bachelor of Applied Science (MedRad)

Grad. Dip in Christian Studies

Shane is the Chief Executive Officer of St Kilda Community Housing Ltd. He has significant not-for-profit management and governance experience, both in Australia and internationally. In addition, Shane has been closely involved with philanthropy’s contemporary response to affordable housing and homelessness; including being a member of government advisory panels. He was in senior management at RACV Ltd., where he operated RACV’s Community Foundation, and before that in senior management at the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation. Shane’s brings his experience and expertise in governance and leadership, in both business and Christian ministry, to the HCC Board.

Peter Cliffe

Peter is the current Executive Principal of Heatherton Christian College and Wyndham Christian College. He has been part of the HCC teaching staff since the school started in 1999, taking over as Principal in October 2001. He has over 30 years’ experience in education as a primary and secondary teacher and as Principal. He has served two terms on the state council of Christian Schools Australia and is a member of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders.  Peter is passionate about HCC and seeing every student succeed.

Grant Scott-Hayward

Master of Business Administration

Bachelor of Commerce MBA

Grant is Chief Executive Officer and National Board Member of Gadens, and a Pay Equity Ambassador of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency. He has over 20 years of leadership, executive and senior management expertise in professional services firms, having advised and worked with a large number of leading law firms. An advocate of values-based leadership, Grant has specialist expertise in strategy, organisational governance and performance, leadership development and culture transformation. He has held a number of external advisory roles following a background in management consulting.

Gary Lisbon (Chairman)

Managing Director of GOLFSelect, Golf Event Management business

Gary brings to the board a wide range of skills developed in the accounting field having worked with KMPG for a number of years before moving into industry working as a financial controller for a large importer. 21 years ago Gary and his wife Maureen established GOLFSelect, one of Australia’s most respected golf event managers. Gary is the managing director of this business.

Pastor Dan Parker

Senior Pastor of Kingston City Church

Chairman of Christian Resource Ministries Inc

Dan is leading a large local church in south-east Melbourne with other congregations in Wyndham and Northcote.  He is also the leader of a denomination with sixty churches in southern Australia.  Dan has a broad experience in working with executive teams, managing leaders and setting vision and mission for Christian organisations.  He is involved in supporting church leaders in Fiji, Turkey and South Sudan.  He brings experience and passion for faith-based education.

Dr Rachael Prince

Certificate IV Theology and Christian Ministry at Stairway College

Rachael is a Senior Policy Officer and Project Manager at Environment Protection Authority. She has a PhD by research, and experience working in the public service, consulting, water utilities, and academia. She is an experienced facilitator, problem solver and presenter having given papers at international conferences, spoken at high-schools, lectured at university and run stakeholder workshops.

Dishan Rajaratnam

Master of Business Administration

Fellow and Chartered Marketer (CIM UK)

Business Manager of Christian Resource Ministries Inc (Manager of Heatherton Christian College)

Dishan brings general management and strategic business development skills from his 18-year tenure in NYK Group, Japan’s leading supply chain and logistics solutions company, having held positions as CEO of NYK Logistics Sri Lanka and State Manager Vic/Tas/SA of NYK Logistics (International) Australia.

Answering God’s call to a “purpose driven” career, he is passionate about Christ centred education and discipleship of children to achieve their full potential.
